What is a hot tub?

A hot tub is a heated outdoor bath that can be fitted with various extras, such as a SPA system, underwater lighting or a filtration system.

A hot tub can be heated with wood or electricity, and we also offer a hybrid version, which means you can heat the hot tub both with wood and electricity. The warm water stimulates blood circulation, helps relax muscles and can reduce stress and joint pain. A hot tub is suitable for every season, from a crisp winter evening to a balmy summer night!

Difference between internal and external wood stove

The only difference between an internal and an external wood stove is the amount of available space in the hot tub. With an internal stove, the stove takes up a small part of the interior space, as it's built into the hot tub. The raised area where the stove sits can be used as a seat to cool off for a moment without having to step out of the hot tub. An internal stove also gives a sleek, minimalist look.

An external wood stove stands next to the hot tub, leaving more seating space inside. In terms of power and heating time, internal and external stoves are equal; the choice between the two is therefore mainly a matter of preference regarding space, convenience and appearance.

What kind of surface do I need for the hot tub?

A solid, well-prepared surface is the foundation for years of carefree enjoyment of your hot tub. A little effort beforehand prevents possible problems later. A hot tub is heavy, especially when filled, and therefore needs a stable base to prevent subsidence and damage. A concrete slab, tiles or a gravel layer with a solid foundation are the most suitable options. A wooden deck can also be used, provided it is strong enough to bear the weight. A slight slope is allowed, but too much incline can cause stress on the shell.

Additional information and tips for hot tubs.

Would you like to buy a hot tub so you can fully enjoy relaxing wellness moments? First of all, it's important to think carefully about a few points, so you can put together your perfect hot tub. How many people do you want to use the hot tub with? We offer three different sizes: the 2-person hot tub, the 5-6 person hot tub, and a model that offers room for 7-8 people. Which heating system do you want? Do you want to heat the hot tub with wood, or would you prefer to heat it electrically and keep it at temperature? There are also fun extras that make your hot tub complete, such as a SPA system, filter system and more. The finish of your hot tub plays an important role in both the look and the durability of the product. A synthetic hot tub offers a modern and low-maintenance option, perfect for those looking for convenience.

For a warm and natural look, the thermowood hot tub is an excellent choice; this wood is treated to withstand the elements and offers a luxurious appearance. If you're looking for an affordable option, a spruce wood hot tub is ideal; this material has a beautiful look and offers an affordable way to enjoy the benefits of a hot tub. Each material has its own charm and advantages, so choose the material that best suits your style and preferences.

Heating a hot tub with wood offers the ultimate authentic experience for those who want to enjoy the charm of traditional heating. Using wood as a heating system creates a unique atmosphere, making the experience extra special, as you can truly enjoy the elements and the soothing sound of the crackling fire. For those who love traditional charm and enjoy feeling connected to nature, the wood-fired hot tub is the perfect choice. It offers not only a wonderful way to relax, but also a way to feel more connected to your surroundings and to nature.

Would you like to enjoy the luxury of a hot tub without the hassle of stoking wood? Then choose an electric hot tub. These hot tubs use an electric heating element, which makes it possible to bring the water up to temperature without needing wood or another external heating system. Of course, heating up takes a bit longer than with a wood-fired hot tub, but once at temperature, you'll enjoy constant, comfortable warmth without having to worry about maintaining a fire. With an electric hot tub, you don't have to worry about losing heat. Thanks to the electric heating, you can monitor and easily adjust the temperature, so the water is always just right for a relaxing experience. This is ideal if you want to enjoy your hot tub regularly.

A hybrid hot tub offers an ideal combination of convenience and an authentic experience. This type of hot tub allows you to choose between electric heating or wood-fired heating. The hybrid system gives you the flexibility to enjoy both the fast and easy heating of an electric hot tub and the cozy atmosphere and natural warmth of a wood-fired hot tub.

The heating time depends on several factors, such as the season, the starting temperature of the water, and the size of the hot tub. With an electric hot tub featuring a 6kW heater, you can expect the temperature to rise by around 5 to 6 degrees per hour. With a 3kW electric hot tub, the temperature increases by about 1.5 to 2 degrees per hour. For a wood-fired hot tub, you can count on a heating time of 2 to 3.5 hours. During the winter months, when it's colder outside, heating may take a bit longer, while in summer it usually goes faster. The great thing about a wood-fired hot tub is the authentic experience of stoking the fire, which adds to the cozy atmosphere while you wait for the perfect temperature.
The Swiss fire-lighting method is a clever way of stoking wood that ensures a more efficient and even result. With this method, you stack the logs in a specific way, often in a zigzag pattern. This allows air to circulate better through the wood, so the fire burns longer and heat is distributed evenly. The advantage is that you need to add new logs less often, and the fire stays at temperature longer. In addition, the Swiss fire-lighting method produces less smoke and a cleaner burning process. It's a practical way to create heat quickly and efficiently!
