What's more, the sauna is fitted with an electric Harvia heater with a handy timer, so you can set exactly when the sauna should automatically start heating up. The traditional process of heating with a wood stove takes a bit longer, but many people actually enjoy the process itself and the cosy atmosphere that a wood-fired sauna offers. Stoking the fire yourself can be a meditative process. The warm glow of the fire and the atmosphere it creates give a sense of connection with nature.

For an outdoor sauna, it's important to have a sturdy and level surface. This ensures that the sauna stands firmly and safely. A concrete floor or a nicely level patio are perfect, as they can properly support the weight of the sauna. Avoid soft or unstable surfaces, such as grass or sand, as these can cause subsidence or damage to your sauna. Make sure you have a solid base, so you can enjoy your outdoor sauna worry-free for years to come.

An electric sauna requires heavy-duty power (a 3-phase connection), because the heater demands a high output. Don't have heavy-duty power yet? Then get in touch with an electrician to check whether your home is suitable for a 3-phase connection and to have it installed if necessary. If you already have heavy-duty power, there's nothing more to arrange and you can connect the sauna right away. The cost of installing heavy-duty power varies, but averages between €500 and €1,500
