Before you start firing up the stove, it's important that the water has reached the correct level and that both the inlet and outlet of your hot tub wood stove are submerged.
Use clean and dry wood
To prevent smoke nuisance and rapid fouling of your wood stove, it's important to use the right firewood. Preferably choose well-dried hardwood, such as oak, birch or beech. This burns cleanly and steadily, resulting in less smoke and unpleasant odours, and heats up your hot tub faster.
Using sea water is not recommended in the hot tub
Our wood stoves are made from high-quality stainless steel (SS 316). This material is highly resistant to maintenance products containing chlorine, but not to sea water. Sea water contains a lot of salt, and that salt can damage the protective layer of the stainless steel. Over time, this can lead to pitting corrosion, with the risk of permanent damage or leakage.
