From Wood to Electric Heater

Would you like to add electric heating to your wood-fired hot tub? It's possible! Qrest offers this service to both existing and new customers. Unfortunately, retrofitting a built-in electric heater is not possible. What is possible, however, is installing a heat pump.

A heat pump is an energy-efficient heating system with a warm-up time of about 5 degrees per hour and an energy consumption of approximately 1.5 kW. So switching from wood to electric is no problem at all! We're happy to help you with this, so you can enjoy this convenient and fast way of heating.

The heat pump doesn't require a heavy-duty power connection. Thanks to its low energy consumption, this system runs on a standard 230V socket.

The heat pump is connected by creating two connections in the hot tub. Two holes are drilled into the shell for this purpose, to which the heat pump is then connected. Having a filter system in place is strongly recommended to prevent contamination of the pipes. If you don't have one yet, we can also install a filter system on your hot tub.

A heat pump extracts energy from the outside air and converts it into pleasant warmth for your hot tub. This process is actually surprisingly simple and smart at the same time. Outside air always contains heat, even on cooler days, and that heat is absorbed via a refrigerant. The compressor then boosts the temperature to a level that's perfect for heating. This way, the generated heat is transferred to the water efficiently and without waste.

With app control, you can turn the heating on or off and set your desired temperature whenever you like. Download the app, connect the hot tub heat pump to your phone, and get full control, wherever you are.
